I, Winifred Wong Ying Chee, am henceforth starting my New Zealand trip blogpost as of 10:29, 13th May 2007. Somebody should pay me for this :x
I know, i know, it's a tad bit late, but FORGIVE ME :( there'll be a lot of pictures, i promise.

START.
okay. so we set off for the airport (me and xinhang).
my suitcase. was bursting, seriously, the zip looked threateningly like it was about to burst open.

had to wait really long for everyone to check in, and in the meantime went to talk to yitong and zhiler, who lovingly sent us off :D

okay i admit we're suaku ppl who hasn't been on a plane for more than 5 hours before :x
okay so we're on the plane and taking one nice picture before we go to sleep.
this is from singapore to brisbane;
this is from brisbane to auckland.
okay so after we reached auckland we got our goody bags and hopped onto the mini van to the new zealand cadet forces base. i tell you hor new zealand weather is so super good, it's like having an air con on, w the sun shining above head! imagine that in singapore!
my hosts are damn nice okay, they're the friendliest people on the planet. they took care of me and mr shahid damn well. took care of our every need :) i love sue kay and eleasha scott : D
we have cereal in the morning (usually) and the apple crumble is SUPER nice. they eat it w hokey pokey ice cream on top, plus LOADS of whipped cream. my god. best thing i've tasted in my life.
the next day we went for a FARM VISIT :D
some random place in auckland. beautiful huh? and it's just a pond.
me w irritating parrot on my arm. it had really sharp claws and when it got off my arm had deep red marks on it.

mr shuai ge w parrot on his shoulder. he's the chief of the cadet forces or something.
yeah and we stopped to have lunch! new zealanders like to have picnics leh really. they can have a picnic anywhr, anytime. they like to cart food around. and best of all the food is super delicious :D we had brownies and super chocolately chocolate on top, super sweet and good. cookies too, but some of the m&m's colour was running out onto the cookies. haha.

in the evening we visited queen street; centre of auckland &place to really shop! was really nice, just like orchard road, but less people. loads of branded stuff and all. never shopped luh. haha. too tired to shop.

next day;
visit to the memorial place.

after that we went for a formal dinner w the new zealand cadets and officers and all.
we performed, but it was damn stupid la omg so damn paiseh i just wanted to like hide my face underground or something.

back to host's house! was the day i had the apple crumble i think.

next day;
visit to see the geysers and stuff. think it's sort of a tourist attraction eh.

saw pretty geysers, bubbling mud pools and stuff. then we saw this warrior dance thing, very entertaining. there was this lady who sang vvv well and w good looks to boot :) bought souvenirs, and hit the road again.

saw radars, mortars and helium balloons LOL. meant for collecting info i guess. and lotsa other cool vehicles. observation posts and how they conceal them and all.

back to the artillery grounds to watch them fire shots.
they fired 60 over shots, and each shot costs $1 k. so we witnessed the spending of $60,000 bucks, though in a not so conventional way :)

next day:
went to river valley lodge for bush whacking and white water rafting! was SO good. but i dont deny i was dying after the trek :o the food was super nice too, especially after you've gone white water rafting, and showered, and your stomach is about to rebel against all the grumbling. SHIOK!
