I read an article on The Straits Times by Cheong something. It was about how she felt that self help books did not help to enhance your lifestyle at all.
I choose to disagree with her. Why?
Self help books are written by people who have gone through all of life's trials, ardous experiences etc. Take for example, Rich Dad Poor Dad. The author definitely had experience about getting rich and wrote that book to enlighten us. Therefore we can say that people who write self help books are EXPERIENCED.
It's just like trial and error. And the suthors of self help books are just giving us the answers.
Self help books aren't all that bad, you know. You get advice on how to run your life and get the correct answers to the trial and error questions that life throws at you. So what's so bad about it?
Sure, the authors didn't succeed after they read self help books, but does it matter? no it doesn't. the most important thing is not to prove that self help books are vital but to give you advice so you know what choices to make and you won't make the wrong choices and therefore reduce the hurt you experience.
In conclusion, self help books aren't really all that bad. really.

Misconception about the UG groups
Many people have a common misconception that all the Uniformed Groups do is drill .
Do you ?
Well , that you're WRONG .
UG groups , basically , for every activity , most of the time we drill and do physical training . I admit that we drill most of the time . But no , we are not all about drilling .
Take for example , my cca , NCC . Yeah , we drill most of the time , but we go for camps and shooting too ! In addition , we do projects about Total Defence which piles up as our homework as well .
The same goes for SJAB . Other than their high standard in drilling , they are also well-versed in the art of healing and first aid .
I'm sure the other UG groups agree with me . UG is not just about drilling and stuff , so surely we deserve some respect ?

Principals
I hate principals lah . So stuck up .
During act one day , I tiam-med the platoon and greeted the new VP .
That bitch !
She didn't reply .
I WAS AP-ED ><+ Principals suck . Students always hate them . Not to mention the discipline master / mitress as well , they never escape the students' loathing . Who tell themn always go around and catch student's for bad behaviour . THEIR problem xD Was telling Shi Qi what would happen if Ek Soo Ben exploded . I think you can imagine too right ?

TAF MEMBERS ; they're more hardworking than us
Eh . I think TAF members very kelian leh .
You see right , now their morning runs kena increase to TWO times a week liao lor ! AIYO . The PE dept ah . So kelian lo .
Firstly , they have to go to school so early in the morning ( I angry cos Hui Yi's dad won't be able to drive me to school due to the fact that they have to reach school DAMN early . But that's besides the point la hor . ) People already sleepy enough liao , then still need to run 6 rounds leh ! omg !
Spare a thought for them lah . They wake up so early , run liao all sweaty , still need to run up to class to change , then go down for assembly . HAIYO . End up they sleep in class ( actually it's not the morning runs' fault , but actually the teacher for being so boring , but that's ALSO besides the point ) ERHUM and are unable to absorb anything in the teacher's lesson . This will cause the standard of the school's results' to drop and have an adverse effect on the school's reputation .
" We , the members of TAF , protest and strongly object to the increase of morning runs for us ! Running tires us out and we will not be able to concentrate properly during lesson time . GO ON STIRKE AGAINST THE EGGY AND THE PE DEPT !! "
hahas . that was lame .
My conclusion is that TAF members may be more fit than us , so we should not look down on them ! =D I think Hui Yi even got more stamina than me lo ><+
