im hereby going to rant incessantly about the school's insistence that we sec 4s have a spotcheck almost everyday, so if you're an upright upholder of the school rules, i beg you leave, lest you get offended by my post.
being in 4L has it's benefits. for example, our class room is the nearest to the canteen as compared to all the other classes in the school, so we can afford to saunter in and out of the classroom for lessons, and still make it in time for the lesson after break.
what i dont like about being in 4L means that you fall prey to daily routine uniform checks by certain teachers. cos that's where random teachers (non form teachers) stand. and if they perceive that they might seem silly standing there doing nothing, then you are in big trouble. because they are going to pick on nitty gritty things about you and your uniform, like why you shouldn't put rubber bands around your wrist because they increase blood pressure, and therefore your blood vessels are in danger of bursting. why you shouldn't use a hairpin to hold up your belt. why you should change your shoes because they look oversized.
like, whatever, okay?
i daresay these things are ridiculous and absurd. furthermore we are graduating, for goodness sake. can't you let us have a last good impression of the school before we leave, rather than let us think, "oh man, can't wait to get out of this shithole"? everyday people are caught for the most unimaginable reasons and we're like, go back to the bleedy staff room and mark scripts, if you have so much time on your hands.
you might argue that we've had four years to have a good impression of the school. well and good. but good impressions can be destroyed, can't they? and they will be, if we get spied on so often. not that my impression of the school is very good in the first place.
i move to prevent the unnecessary patrolling of certain teachers beside our class, rendering us unable to pay attention or listen to announcements during assembly, defeating the whole purpose for an assembly. an assembly is for us to sing the national anthem &say the pledge and listen to announcements, not an opportunity for teachers to spot check our attire. hence i suggest that teachers give us a little freedom and leave us alone during assembly, thank you very much.
