I, Winifred Wong Ying Chee, am henceforth starting my New Zealand trip blogpost as of 10:29, 13th May 2007. Somebody should pay me for this :x

I know, i know, it's a tad bit late, but FORGIVE ME :( there'll be a lot of pictures, i promise.

START.

okay. so we set off for the airport (me and xinhang).


my suitcase. was bursting, seriously, the zip looked threateningly like it was about to burst open.

okay i admit we're suaku ppl who hasn't been on a plane for more than 5 hours before :x


okay so we're on the plane and taking one nice picture before we go to sleep.
this is from singapore to brisbane;

okay so after we reached auckland we got our goody bags and hopped onto the mini van to the new zealand cadet forces base. i tell you hor new zealand weather is so super good, it's like having an air con on, w the sun shining above head! imagine that in singapore!

my hosts are damn nice okay, they're the friendliest people on the planet. they took care of me and mr shahid damn well. took care of our every need :) i love sue kay and eleasha scott : D

we have cereal in the morning (usually) and the apple crumble is SUPER nice. they eat it w hokey pokey ice cream on top, plus LOADS of whipped cream. my god. best thing i've tasted in my life.
the next day we went for a FARM VISIT :D

yeah and we stopped to have lunch! new zealanders like to have picnics leh really. they can have a picnic anywhr, anytime. they like to cart food around. and best of all the food is super delicious :D we had brownies and super chocolately chocolate on top, super sweet and good. cookies too, but some of the m&m's colour was running out onto the cookies. haha.

in the evening we visited queen street; centre of auckland &place to really shop! was really nice, just like orchard road, but less people. loads of branded stuff and all. never shopped luh. haha. too tired to shop.

after that we went for a formal dinner w the new zealand cadets and officers and all.

they fired 60 over shots, and each shot costs $1 k. so we witnessed the spending of $60,000 bucks, though in a not so conventional way :)

went to river valley lodge for bush whacking and white water rafting! was SO good. but i dont deny i was dying after the trek :o the food was super nice too, especially after you've gone white water rafting, and showered, and your stomach is about to rebel against all the grumbling. SHIOK!

oh and im not sure whether you guys have noticed: there is NO toilet paper in the female toilets in river valley high school. esp towards the end of the week.

WTH? no toilet paper? eh i tell you hor. toilet paper is one of the most essential things in life okay. i mean it's the only thing you can clean your ass w rite. paper meh. v uncomfortable leh. and toilet w/o toilet paper is like chicken rice w/o chicken. if you get what i mean.

yeah so anyway there is no toilet paper, and we heard from the aunty that it's because the school wants to cut costs and to punish us for throwing wet toilet paper up on de ceiling -.- fyi girls go toilet is just, go toilet lor. toiler paper v fun to play w meh -.- lame leh. we're gg to go on strike soon hor. better give us our toilet paper. :@

i changed my nick to 'moody mondays' last monday. and today im online, and realised i didn't have to change my nick cos like, duh, it's monday. ahah so it's like been a week since i've come online. wow.

adults who stare are rude.

me and junqi have concluded that we're under tremendous stress. lol. we like sort of went nuts at the grandstand today. ahaha.

people who are nice enough not to retaliate upon being thrown at with hurtful comments usually get picked on the most. and i think that i ought to learn how to stand up for myself. not that i have low self esteem, but when caught in situations like this i dont retaliate, not because i'm unable to, but because i dont want to. and i dont think people around me should take that for granted.

on a lighter note i'm currently uploading my photos from new zealand (yes, i know im very, very late) and will be posting them up in the near future.

i keep typing and deleting what i want to say. this is getting quite irritating.

i conclude that i am having writer's block and will hereby end my entry till the words come to me. till then, let the pictures speak :)

im disgusted at humanity. maybe that's why i never really understood what goes on in the minds of murderers as they make their kill.

all this while, i've had an unwavering trust in the public, in those adults that always criticise and look down on us young people. i believed them to be good and upright people who would never think of committing crimes.i believed they would return anything lost immediately to the authorities, knowing the worry &grief the owner must be going through.

but no.

i've been through this situation four times, including this time. the first time was during the part b bbq, when i lost my wallet with all the money inside. two hundred bucks. i lodged a police report, but no one gave it back. it was my first time, and utterly traumatising because i lost so much money. the second time was when my handphone dropped out of my pocket and onto the bus. i reported it to the bus interchange people, but i never saw it again. the third time was horribly unexpected. the shitbag actually stole my handphone from my bag in school. so much for security. and now this:




those circled in red, obviously, speak of great losses and trouble that i will now have to go through to replace them.

this is ridiculous. logically speaking, i shouldn't be surprised; haven't i had my share of losing items there were never "found"? but it just shows the depth of my trust.

perhaps im too naive. human beings are just selfish creatures who are so ridden with flaws that i am ashamed to be walking on this earth with them. some, actually.

students crime rate high, adult crime rate not high meh? please lah, what can we do lor. not as if we got murder ppl right. ADULTS got leh.

students litter, adults dont litter meh? everytime see those uncles walk walk walk then spit into the grass. ugh. i think students are more civilised than that.

as if adults care for the environment. everyday go ntuc see aunties and supposedly MATURE adults carrying plastic bags what. they also never use cloth bags. then ozone layer depleting, there's global warming, then come and blame us students -.- like we shop at ntuc like that. even if we dunno about the environment is also the supposedly mature adults teach one what. still criticise us. i mean, come on, this type of thing also wanna complain.

(aiya but what you expect, fann wong's hair ugly they also complain.)

why cannot just close one eye and be polite and walk off? stupid adults.

everytime got problem is secondary sch students fault. then they blame it on us going through teenage adolescence years. yah, and those adults out there with superb complaining skills never go through these years before leh! never leh!

every single time the newspapers come in on wednesday, i open the ZBnow section with a mixture of apprehension, excitement and skepticism. and as expected i feel utterly insulted before the supposedly mature adults are accusing us of things that they themselves are partially at fault for and they seem to be refusing to bear any kind of responsibility.

what are they going to talk about next? students are not doing enough to save the dying kids in africa? -.-

reading "the crow", the third book of pellinor. it's this fantasy series &i strongly recommend it, although it gets boring at times where the author describes maerad's endless journeys.

and hello. no pop means no pop ar. what's the meaning of this. newsflash, pop for our march camp is damn impt the glory the zhuai-ness the HONOUR. just because some parents complain to you to please hand over their kids doesn't mean you can't defend us &tell them there's something more important to do that will let your kids have a sense of accomplishment for having campleted the camp, which is far better than getting your precious babies back for two hours early. i know you miss your little darlings but come ON.

why 'one for all all for one motto' should be kept.
1) because it is the motto of OUR ncc unit and if your darling babies can't take it fine get them outta ncc and outta my sight thank you very much we dont want sissies and fragile poopies anyway.

2) because standard cannot be compromised by the changing of times &complaints by some ignorant parents. simple as that.

3) because all cadets in the ncc abide by this motto, and if you want to form an opposition party, be prepared to face some 160+ very angry people on the other side.

4) because we will not NOT abide by this motto just because you complained; what does that show of us? that we're cowards who dont have our own stand. that we are easily wavered by ill-informed outsiders who do not know a single thing and yet have the cheek to question our credibility. and if for fleeting moment you actually thought that you could abolish our motto by simply complaining that it's "pervasive", well let me tell you that's not gna work. it's in us. and you can't take it outta us.

to my school, lemme give you some advice. if you actually started caring about us students, listening more to us, not supressing us just so you could achieve your own aims, maybe we might actually be happier. think of our feelings, school. we dont exactly like year 123 but SEC 4. ostracize us until like that. you think we happy meh.

to my TO, instead of forcing us to see YOUR pov, why not have a look through ours. you dont understand our resentment, our frustration. you just do as you like and restrict us. you think we're happy?

no corporal punishment just because parents are around. why not just heck the parents and let them complain as they wish? parents are around; so FUCKING what? STOP TRYING TO MAKE FUCKING PARENTS HAPPY LAH, WAHLAU. THEY VERY BIG MEH? THEY CAN SACK YOU MEH?! not as if they can do anything about it right. ncc IS supposed to be tough, for goodness sake. JUST EXPLAIN LAH. what's the importance of UG what's the importance of this and that. if you dont waste so much breath on trying to explain to us that the fucking parents are always right, maybe you could have reserved more breath to talk to the parents.

also, i think you have a superb and unpralleled sense of judgement. just because of one misdeed, you condemn that person for eternity. previous pc &perfectly capable and competent; currently gym instructor. previous asm, best in platoon in terms of standard; currently no post. previously ulu person &because of your firm personal conviction that he is "meticulous"; currently head of unit, presently screwing up the unit real bad. what a good sense of judgement you have.

im here in new zealand, at samantha's house (wenting's homestay) blogging :] yeah im like on the second storey and there's a pool table in the house, it's so cool.

it's already the uh, third day? and im so totally enjoying it. me and lta shahid had dessert yesrterday and it was like apple crumble with hokey-pokey icecream AND whipped cream, that really melts in your mouth. wow. i love new zealand.

there's a formal dinner tonight, and i haven't prepared my no4 yet. >< that's cos my homestay is working and her mum is out, and she didn't like the idea of me and shahid alone at home so yeah im at samantha's house. and her mum sue is coming to fetch us back so i can chiong-prepare my very crumpled uniform.

yeah and the "kiwis" (the new zealanders) are so friendly and hospitable, i feel bad i dont have anything to give to them. :( shoulda bought some souvenirs and stuff for them.

isn't everyone supposed to have strong moral values and know not to sabo their lvl mates?

if, for example, you see a handphone left on the bus by a previous passenger. wont you take it and turn it in to the police station or to the bus interchange or something? isn't it the right thing to do? won't your conscience prick you? won't you be afraid of being caught?

if, for example, you see an envelope containing a large amount of money on a table, will you take it? will you think, "oh, no one will know anyway, why not?" will you feel good keeping so much money with you, always on your toes, as if someone could see through you and your guilt? or maybe you have no guilt.

why is the school like that? why is there such evil? why? why will anyone in the level hate me this much? i haven't offended anyone, have i? :(

the situation is on a roll.. downhill. like a barrel that's rolling down a steep slope, perhaps leading into a dark chasm of some sorts. everytime it gets stuck somewhere on the slope i can't help but wonder whether it has hit rock bottom, or whether it'll disentangle itself and continue rolling down. so far it hasn't hit rock bottom. yet.

but i'll look on the bright side. once the barrel hits rock bottom it will roll all the way up the cliff again... right? maybe the energy lost while it is rolling down the cliff (k.e. -> heat and sound energy) then dont have enough energy to roll back up the cliff.

what cock am i talking 'bout. im sure you all dont understand le right? must be thinking,'what is this siaolala saying, what about barrels and all'. never mind.

my head is hurting.

just a few days after the start of school. come on, it's not even the second week.

why?

the only reason why im blogging is because im stuck at home, sick, and naturally will have more time than if i went to school. sad to say that i was so sick yesterday to the extent that i slept all the way from 6-8, ate my dinner, washed up and went back to sleep. had a fever of 38.1 deg C. and no homework done.

but apparently i dont have an mc cos my mum decided not to send me to the doc's. honestly.

anyway. back to the screwed up thing.

i mean, why blow up everything? it's something so minor, so, i daresay, so common. what's the point of stripping him of his rank? is it necessary? what is the motive?

would it teach him? would he learn his lesson? would he change for the better? or will he just become more rebellious?

who would take over? would the new person agree to it? how long would he take to get used to it? and who, for god's sake, would take that dirty rank?

is the unit at heart?

challenging authority? that, is purely your own judgment, your own opinion. however, it is not under your jurisdiction, hence punishment should not be meted out unless you have hard, solid evidence OR the defendant's statement. that is, if you DO have the defendant's statements. even so, just statements alone do not prove anything. anything at all.

i need answers, i need answers. and i need them now. because the questions are driving me crazy.

which makes me wonder. will the answers be even worse?
